Calling all new celiac moms! Is your household totally 100% gluten free? Even if your answer is “99% of the products we buy are GF, you may want to follow this simple piece of advice: Never RENT a CONDIMENT! While sharing is generally seen as an act of kindness, when it comes to condiments (and a gluten free diet) it’s really an act of cross contamination. In other words, if you spread peanut butter on a slice of wheat bread, and then dip your knife back into the same jar to butter up a slice of gluten free bread, you’ve instantly contaminated both the jar and the bread. So, if your household is anything less than 100% gluten free, be celiac safe, and opt for separate condiments.
